Skilled and Intermediate Nursing Care - Emergency Services
Emergency Care Given:
- Suction
- Administer Oxygen
- Summon Paramedics
- Basic First Aid for the following conditions:
- Burns
- Fractures
- Hemorrhaging
- Seizures
- Shock
- Lacerations
- Hemlich Maneuver for a choking person
- Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation
Emergency Care Not Given:
- Defibrillation ( an external electrical
apparatus that counteracts the heart's quivering)
- Intubation ( insertion of tube into the
windpipe )
- Respirator ( a mechanical device used
to assist with breathing )
If Countryside Manor is unable to provide all
the treatments ordered, the physician will request a transfer of
the resident to a facility that can provide the care desired. Countryside
Manor staff will assist in making the transfer as smooth as possible.
